On Sunday afternoon, June 11th, at approx. 5PM, Selkirk FD was dispatched to a reported plane crash at the South Albany Airport.
First arriving units found a small personal aircraft nose down a few feet on the runway.
The pilot was not hurt in the crash. The pilot was doing touch & go’s and landed short of the runway. The front landing gear broke when it hit the soft ground just short of the runway. The plane then slide down the runway until the aircraft came to rest.
